This fire started around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 16. Strong winds pushed immediate growth in dry fuels. Local fire crews led initial attack and the fire moved to state mobilization on the evening of July 16. Southeast Washington Incident Management - Team 3 took over management of the fire the evening of July 16. This fire is one of four fires (Lyons Ferry, Neff Jones, Wallace Walker, Devil's Canyon Fires) that are all associated and being managed by same Incident Management Team.
