VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Tulare County Agencies Regional Gun Violence Enforcement Team (TARGET) arrested a Visalia resident Monday during a firearms investigation, according to the Visalia Police Department.
TARGET arrested 37-year-old Markell Martin on July 13 after a series of warrants at separate locations were served in Visalia, police say.
The 37-year-old is a convicted felon who is not allowed to have firearms or ammunition, according to the department.
Officials say that police found a stolen AR-15, a pistol, seven large-capacity magazines, and around 1,000 rounds of ammunition as a result of these investigations.

Martin was taken to the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility, according to officials.
Police say that the convicted felon is facing five charges, including possession of an assault weapon and possession of stolen property.
