FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Summer Fox Brewing Company is hosting its third annual blind tasting IPA competition this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Fresno.
The competition takes place at Summer Fox Brewing Company at 6585 N Santa Fe Ave., Fresno.

The event is now called Hazy Days: Central Valley Tap Takeover instead of the Hazy IPA Throwdown, according to organizers. Twelve breweries from across the Central Valley are participating in the newly named event.
How the event works is that each brewery brings one Hazy IPA without a label. The beer is served anonymously on a sampler platter so guests can then vote on their favorite beer.
“When you take the labels away, you give people permission to be surprised by what they actually like most,” according to Kelsey Lee, Director of Brand Strategy & Business Operations at Summer Fox Brewing Company.
Organizers say the first place gets the People’s Choice winner based on voting. The First Keg to Kick is another award that will go to the beer that disappears the fastest.

Attendees can purchase a sampler platter with all 12 beers throughout the entire event. People are required to vote if they buy a sampler beer platter. Guests can also purchase full pours.
