The Iron Fire is burning approximately one mile northwest of Eureka, Utah, in chaparral and grass fuels. The fire has exhibited extreme fire behavior, including short crown runs, uphill runs, and wind-driven runs.

Numerous structures are threatened. Evacuations, area closures, and road closures are in effect.

Great Basin Team 3 assumed command on June 22, 2026. Firefighters are working with local and cooperating agencies to protect life and property, provide structure protection where needed, and construct and improve containment lines as conditions allow.
