MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Looking to take the bus in Merced County? If so, you can do so for free this July.

From July 1 to July 31, anyone who wants to ride the bus or the micro transit service can do so for free.

The Bus operates 15 fixed routes throughout the region. They serve Los Banos, Merced and Atwater and even have routes through the intercity. The Micro Bus serves the areas of Los Banos, Dos Palos, and Gustine.

Officials say that Measure V riders, UC Merced and Merced College students, should continue to show their ID to ride for free during this time.
