Madera County residents and the thousands of commuters traveling daily on State Route 41 between Avenues 10½ and 15 will now be able to receive Expressway Project updates in real time.

Today marks the start of construction, along with the launch of the new website, 41expressway.com. The interactive website is equipped with videos and construction maps that will help keep the public informed on all phases of the project through its completion in May 2028.
The SR 41 Expressway Project is the largest transportation improvement project in Madera County history. The $130 million project is a major thoroughfare to Yosemite National Park, transporting millions of visitors each year.
Led by Madera County in coordination with Caltrans and regional partners, the project is expected to reduce congestion, improve travel times, and accommodate future residential and commercial growth along the corridor.
The 4.6-mile expansion includes:

- Widening State Route 41 to four lanes
- Construction of a new southbound bridge over Avenue 11
- Intersection expansion and improvements to the traffic signal at Avenue 12
- Modifications to the existing intersection at Avenue 15
County officials say the new website will serve as a central hub for project information, allowing residents, businesses, and commuters to stay informed about construction progress, traffic impacts, and upcoming project milestones.
Construction on the SR 41 Expressway Project began June 9 and is scheduled for completion in May 2028.
