The John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation invites the community to step behind the mask for an unforgettable evening of glamour, generosity, and celebration at the annual Black and White Ball, returning on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, Building A.
“This year is going to be magical,” said Miranda Wass, Executive Administrator of the Foundation. “Our black and gold masquerade theme will bring mystery, elegance, and shimmer to an already meaningful evening. It is a chance for our community to come together, celebrate, and support the future of local healthcare.”
The event will also feature a delicious three-course dinner, with appetizers, and dancing led by a live DJ creating a stylish atmosphere throughout the evening.
Adding to the excitement, professional auctioneer Grayson Haydn-Myer will lead the live auction with charm, humor, and high energy, making the auction experience both entertaining and engaging.
Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in silent and live auctions, along with a festive 50/50 raffle that gives one lucky winner the chance to leave with money in their pocket.
With the help of many dedicated volunteers who gather every year to bring the event to life, the committee is looking forward to welcoming and thanking everyone for showing their support of the Foundation and the John C. Fremont Healthcare District.
Joining the Events Committee as Chair this year is new Foundation board member Michael Matheson who brings past experience with large scale fundraising events.
“I am honored to chair the Black and White Ball this year,” said Matheson. “The committee is made up of brilliant and dedicated Mariposans who know how important JCF Hospital is to our health and wellness. From an annual checkup to an emergency, the hospital and its staff are there for us.”
“The role of the Black and White Ball is to make sure we get our hospital, doctors, nurses, and staff the equipment they need to continue their good work,” continued Matheson. “Please join us in supporting our hospital by attending the event and sponsoring.”
In 2025, the Black and White Ball raised close to $40,000. Funds were used to support critical equipment purchases, including a state-of-the-art ventilator, two IV pumps, and a patient bed, all for the benefit of hospital patients.
Tickets will be available in July.
