Ordering Records In Person or by Mail
Records may also be requested directly from the Mariposa County Assessor-Recorder’s Office in person or by mail.
When requesting by mail or in person, please complete the appropriate application form and follow the instructions provided.
Vital Records Applications
For recorded property documents, staff can assist in identifying and locating records during business hours.
Fees for Certified Copies
Effective January 1, 2026, the fees for obtaining Vital Records, including birth, death, and marriage certificates, have increased pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 64 (Chapter 662, Statutes of 2025). Applications received after December 31, 2025, are subject to the new fees:
- Birth: $31
- Death: $26
- Marriage: $19
