OAKHURST, CA – As Spring Break approaches, the Central California Blood Center is calling on community members to roll up their sleeves and donate blood. Holiday weeks, when schools are closed and routines shift, often lead to a significant drop in blood donations which creates critical shortages across the region.

Anyone who donates blood between March 29 and April 4, 2026, will have a chance to win a one-night stay and $200 food credit at Table Mountain Casino Resort (total valued at $500). Donors must be 21 or older to be eligible to win.

“Even when schedules change, the need for blood never takes a break,” said Christine Hayes, President and CEO of the Central California Blood Center. “From trauma patients and surgical cases to individuals battling cancer or chronic blood disorders, patients rely on a steady blood supply every single day.”

Just one blood donation can save up to three lives, making every donor a vital part of the healthcare system. The Blood Center encourages eligible donors to schedule an appointment at any of its five donor centers located in Fresno, Clovis, and Visalia, or attend one of the upcoming mobile blood drives listed below.
