TRAFFIC ADVISORY – Traffic Controls In Place This Week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal
work beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Shilling Road to Buckhorn Fire Road for utility work
on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Hirsch Road to Wass Road East for utility work on
Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 132
• One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage
work beginning Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Horseshoe Bend to State Route 49 / Coulterville for
utility work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from Colorado Road to Crane Creek for embankment
work beginning Sunday, March 22, through Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 8:00
p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from South Incline Road to Foresta Road for barrier
installation work beginning Wednesday, March 25, through Thursday, March 26,
from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, March 27, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
