MARIPOSA, CA – Made in Mariposa is heading into spring with a dual focus on creativity and community connection, announcing both a full lineup of hands-on art classes and a special Easter-themed event for families.
The Mariposa-based nonprofit has released its Spring 2026 workshop schedule while also inviting the public to take part in its upcoming “Easter Photos for Kids and Pets” event, offering a mix of artistic engagement and seasonal celebration.
The Easter photo event is scheduled for March 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Made in Mariposa storefront, located at 5022B Highway 140. The event will give families an opportunity to capture festive photos featuring children and pets in a themed setting. The cost is $10 per session, or $5 for those who bring and use their own camera. Organizers emphasize the event as an accessible, family-friendly way to celebrate the season while supporting a local nonprofit.

Alongside the special event, Made in Mariposa is also offering a robust series of spring classes designed to highlight a wide range of artistic disciplines. The schedule begins April 4 with an “Introduction to Procreate” workshop focused on digital illustration and continues through June with classes in jewelry-making, crafting, drawing, and mixed-media art.
Workshops include “Micro Mosaic Pendants,” “Button Making,” “Pounded Flower Stationary,” and “Drawing—The Horse,” as well as more specialized offerings like “Painting with Electricity,” where participants create niobium jewelry using anodizing techniques. Additional classes such as “Viking Knit Jewelry” and “Decoupage with Fabric” round out the schedule. Most sessions include materials in the registration fee and are limited to small group sizes, typically between six and ten participants, to allow for personalized instruction.
A photography-focused class on mounting images for display and judging is also planned ahead of the Mariposa County Fair, with more details expected soon.
Made in Mariposa operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting local artisans and strengthening the regional economy by promoting goods that are locally made. The organization’s storefront serves not only as a retail space but also as a creative hub where community members can learn new skills, connect with artists, and engage in hands-on experiences.
Together, the spring workshop series and the Easter photo event reflect the organization’s broader mission—bringing people together through art, creativity, and shared community experiences.
