FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A fog machine left unattended and billowing smoke inside a Fresno church set off a chain reaction that led to the Fresno Fire Department responding to the building.
According to the fire department, crews were called to NorthPointe Community Church after receiving an alert about a fire alarm inside that had been activated. They arrived to find no flames in the building – but it was full of smoke.

The fog machine had been left on accidentally, filling the space with smoke, officials say.
The fire department’s Mobile Ventilation Unit, which is a large fan on the back of a truck, was brought in to help clear the smoke from the building.

No damage was reported to the building following the incident.
