LEMOORE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – As the Naval Air Station in Lemoore is getting ready for the annual air show next month, they are reminding people that marijuana is not allowed on the base, even if it is legal in the state.
The Naval Air Station hosts an air show every year, where they have U.S. Navy flight demonstrations, military aircraft displays, aerobatic performances and ground exhibits.
As they host this family-friendly event, they are reminding people not to bring the green substance, “even if it’s in gummy form.” If people do, they might have an awkward conversation at the security checkpoint before they even enter.
They said that at a federal installation, which is under federal law, marijuana is still considered illegal.
