Loaded gun found on DUI suspect during Corcoran traffic stop

CORCORAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 28-year-old man suspected of DUI was arrested during a traffic stop on Monday in Corcoran, police said.

On Feb. 9 at 12:15 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue, near Hale Avenue, for a moving violation.

Police said the driver, 28-year-old Eric Soliz Jr., was suspected of DUI.

As he was exiting the vehicle, officers located a concealed firearm on him. Police said that the firearm was loaded with a large capacity magazine.

Police report Soliz was arrested on charges of DUI and possession of a concealed, loaded firearm as well as a large capacity magazine.
