Local Bites: The Breakfast Factory in Clovis

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE) – The Breakfast Factory believes the most important meal of the day is breakfast. They manufacture great food from Friday through Sunday to satisfy your appetite.

The Clovis restaurant at Willow and Chestnut Avenues specializes in dishes with eggs as the main ingredient.

“The skillets, the skillets are really my favorite to go with here. The sausage skillet, the brisket skillet and then our Denver omelet,” said Aram Zardaryan, owner of The Breakfast Factory.

Not only is Zardaryan the owner, but he’s also one of the master minds behind each recipe. He went through countless tries on what to put in each skillet and omelet. Skillets are made with three eggs, bell peppers, onions and country potatoes.

But the brisket is cooked to perfection, for five to six hours in a smoker.

Omelets are also cooked with three eggs and the same ingredients as their skillets. But cheese is melted into the omelet and country potatoes are swapped out for a side of hash browns.

If you are craving something sweet and savory, no need to head to Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles, The Breakfast Factory has you covered.

“That’s something I used to eat when I would go down to LA all the time. That’s the one thing I was like, we must get this. This is one of my favorite breakfast meals,” said Zardaryan.

And what’s breakfast without a good pastry? The Breakfast Factory has a homemade variety from American to Armenian.

Ponchik is an Armenian doughnut filled with custard, Nutella, or Dubi chocolate, topped off with powdered sugar. But the most popular order at the Breakfast Factory isn’t a breakfast item: it’s something you’d think you would find at the Big Fresno Fair.

“It is pretty much a taco wrapped in dough with the hot Cheeto on it and nacho cheese,” he said.

Zardaryan says sometimes they just can’t keep up with the demand.

“We make them fresh every morning. We run out of them a lot. Some people are upset when they try to order it, but we’ve been out of it. But we have been trying to stock up as much as possible,” he said.

The Breakfast Factory has plans to expand with a Fresno location. Zardaryan is currently looking for that new site and hopes to open in Fresno later this summer.
