MARIPOSA, CA – We invite you to spend an exciting day exploring the rich agricultural heritage and land stewardship efforts of Mariposa County during the Mariposa Farm and Ranch Tour on Saturday, October 11, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This incredible event will take place across various picturesque locations, including Raw Roots, Sierra Cider Orchard, Casto Vineyards, and The Sierra Foothill Conservancy Stookey Preserve. It’s a unique opportunity to engage with our local agricultural producers, learn about sustainable practices, and appreciate the connectedness of agriculture and nature preservation that safeguards our rural communities.

Throughout the day, participants can look forward to a variety of activities designed for all ages. Attendees can immerse themselves in educational experiences, including agricultural events, nature workshops, and interactive children’s activities. Enjoy art in action as local artists demonstrate their craft, adding a creative flair to the tour. Participants will have the opportunity to take personal tours of the farms, providing an insider’s look at the practices that go into producing the food we enjoy. For those interested in joining the tour, tickets will be available for sale at each site on the day of the event. If you prefer to plan ahead, tickets can also be pre-purchased at the Mariposa Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center or at Casto Oaks Winery located in downtown Mariposa. The ticket pricing is very reasonable — just $10 per person or $20 for an entire carload. Children and students can attend for free, making this a fantastic family outing.

A popular alternative for those who want to relax and enjoy the day without having to navigate the roads is to reserve a seat on our organized shuttle bus service to the farms. The shuttle costs $30 and includes snacks and drinks, providing a delightful travel experience as you explore the beauty of Mariposa. While lunch will not be provided, participants will have options for purchasing food at various locations along the tour, or you can bring your own lunch to enjoy picnic-style in the scenic surroundings.

Adding to the excitement is the Farm-To-Fork dinner taking place the evening before the tour, on October 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sierra Cider Orchard. This dinner celebrates local farmers and chefs by showcasing the breathtaking array of produce and products sourced from our very own community. This multi-course meal, expertly catered by David Schatzle, promises to be a culinary delight that captures the essence of farm-fresh flavors. Tickets for the dinner are priced at $70 per person and can be purchased online.
