The Garnet BAER team consists of scientists and specialists including hydrologists, geologists, soil scientists, road engineers, botanists, wildlife and fisheries biologists, archaeologists, recreation and trails specialists, and geographic information specialists, from federal. BAER teams conduct field surveys and use science-based models to rapidly evaluate and assess the burned area. The BAER Team, working with Tribal Liaisons, are engaging in a collaborative post-fire recovery effort that respects and upholds the cultural and spiritual values of the affected tribes.
